Gym. The policy now is for all boys to have socks off, or to wear sports shoes when playing in the gym. Boys that do not follow this policy will not be able to use this fantastic facility.

Beanies and back road tops are not to be worn at school. They are not school uniform.
Cycling group rides every Friday after school. You will need parental permission, sound bike, warm reflective clothing and be an accomplished road cyclist.
Anyone interested in giving track cycling a go there is a JMC taster sessions coming up on the 15th Sept (5-6pm). Please let Mr Carruthers know if interested. (Bikes are available to borrow).

Looking for some fun options for the kids these school holidays? Sport Otago is passionate about helping kids enjoy being active and making the most of all opportunities. 28 September – 2 October, Edgar Centre, 5-13 year olds, full day and part day options available, from $30-$45. Balmacewen Tennis Club Open Day - Sunday 6th September 1pm
The Balmacewen Tennis Club junior tennis programme is due to start soon with our Open Day on Sunday 6th September from 1pm. There may be pupils at your school who are keen to join in and play.
Balmacewen Tennis Club Inc. is situated in the beautiful grounds of the Otago Golf Club. There are two hard courts and three artificial grass courts, with the latter due to be resurfaced later this year. Many juniors join the club to play socially in this lovely setting while others want to play competition tennis in one of the club's 10 or more junior teams.
